New Faculty Welcome

Save the Date: New Faculty Welcome 2023 will be held on August 17, 2023!

The New Faculty Welcome program is an annual event offered by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost with contributions from other university units that support faculty at Virginia Tech.

This half-day event, which is separate and different from the orientation sessions provided by the Human Resources department, is designed to provide overview information about the university, hear from other faculty, and network with new faculty and leadership. This year's event will be held on August 17, 2023. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.

The program provides breakout informational sessions for Administrative and Professional Faculty and Teaching and Research Faculty. This targeted program content is designed to address the specific needs and interests of the different faculty groups.

Special Sessions for New Faculty will be held the following day, Friday, August 18, 2023.

All new faculty members hired between August 10, 2022 through August 10, 2023 are invited and strongly encouraged to attend this important program. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
