Research-Extended Appointments

Academic year faculty appointments can be extended to calendar year with the use of research funds.

Faculty members on an academic year appointment can extended their base 9-month contract to a 10-, 11-, or 12-month contract as described in university policy 6200 (PDF).

To initiate this change, complete the Request for Research-Extended Appointment (PDF) form.

To renew or modify an existing research extended appointment, complete the Request for Extension of Research-Extended Appointment (PDF).
