Leslie Stevens
Leslie Stevens is the Project Director in the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at Virginia Tech, where she leads and supports senior administrator search processes and periodic reviews, faculty development and recognition programs, and the university’s New Faculty Welcome program. Through collaborative project management, strategic communications, and continuous process improvement, she helps strengthen the university's efforts to recruit, support, and recognize outstanding faculty and administrators.
In addition to her role at Virginia Tech, Leslie serves as the Academic Consortium Coordinator for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), where she directs strategic and operational activities for the Consortium. Working with provosts, academic leaders, faculty, and students across 18 member institutions, she manages collaborative academic and leadership programs, oversees a $1.2 million program portfolio, and supports initiatives that foster innovation, academic success and engagement, leadership development, and cross-institutional partnerships.
Leslie has 13 years of experience in higher education administration at Virginia Tech, with expertise in faculty affairs, academic program administration, project management, communications, and budget oversight. She is recognized for building collaborative relationships, managing complex initiatives, and developing efficient systems that support institutional goals and enhance the faculty experience. She is passionate about creating meaningful programs and partnerships that enable faculty and academic leaders to thrive.
Leslie earned a Master of Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration from Virginia Tech, as well as bachelor's degrees in Journalism and English (Writing) from Concord University.
