Cyndi Hutchison
Cyndi Hutchison is the Senior Director of Academic Administration within the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. She leads university-level promotion, tenure, continued appointment, and administrative promotion processes in support of faculty success and academic excellence. Her work includes overseeing faculty appointment hires with tenure, developing and co-presenting promotion and tenure programs and workshops, supporting the Board of Visitors' Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee, managing university-level academic processes, and interpreting and applying faculty policy.
Prior to joining Faculty Affairs in 2008, Cyndi served as a Special Events Coordinator in the Office of Special Events, where she planned and managed major university and donor events involving university leaders, alumni, donors, and members of the Board of Visitors.
Cyndi is committed to advancing institutional excellence through collaborative leadership, strategic planning, and effective academic administration.
Cyndi holds a Master of Business Administration from Radford University, a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Bluefield University, and an AAS in business management from New River Community College.
