Anna LoMascolo
Anna LoMascolo is the Senior Director of Work-Life Initiatives within the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. She is dedicated to faculty success and empowering faculty excellence through direction of the dual career program, engaging programming, strategic initiatives and support and resources that enhance the professional growth and well-being of faculty across the university. In her role, she plays a pivotal role in advancing the university’s mission to recruit, retain, and develop outstanding faculty talent.
Anna brings extensive experience in higher education administration, faculty support, and program leadership. She is known for her collaborative approach, strategic insight, and dedication to creating resources and programs that help faculty thrive professionally and personally.
Before joining the Faculty Affairs Team, Anna spent more than two decades leading the Virginia Tech Women’s Center. She also served in positions at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, CA and the University of California in Berkeley, CA. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the ACE Virginia Network and is working on an oral history project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the organization.
Anna holds a doctorate in sociology (with a certificate in women’s studies) and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Virginia Tech, and a master’s degree in sociology from Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University).
