Save the date for New Faculty Welcome 2027
August 16-17, 2027 at the Inn at Virginia Tech. Registration opens summer 2027.
The New Faculty Welcome program is an annual event offered by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, with contributions from other university units that support Virginia Tech faculty.
This event, which is separate and different from the orientation sessions provided by the Human Resources department, is designed to provide overview information about the university, hear from other faculty, and network with new faculty and leadership. This year's event will be held on August 16-17, 2027. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
The program provides breakout informational sessions for Administrative and Professional Faculty and Teaching and Research Faculty. This targeted program content is designed to address the specific needs and interests of the different faculty groups.
All new faculty members hired between August 10, 2026 through August 10, 2027 are invited and strongly encouraged to attend this important program. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
